Rocklin Family Pet Shop carries a large selection of small animals. If you are interested in a specific breed, contact us for availability.
All small animals are not the same. The housing and feeding requirements are unique to each animal, just as each animal is unique.
Chinchillas
Chinchillas can be very friendly animals if sufficiently acclimated to human touch as kits, making them excellent pets for patient owners. |
Guinea Pigs
Their docile nature, their responsiveness to handling and feeding, and the relative ease of caring for them, continue to make the guinea pig a popular pet. |
Hamsters
Hamsters are stout-bodied, with tails much shorter than body length and have small furry ears, short stocky legs, and wide feet. Their thick fur, which can be long or short, can be black, gray, white, brown, buff, yellow, "sapphire" or red depending on the species, or a mix of any of those colors. |
Rabbits
Rabbits can be trained to use a litter box and can learn to come when called. Their diet typically consists of unlimited Timothy hay, a small amount of pellets, and fresh vegetables. House rabbits are quiet pets. |
Rats
Many people buy rats as companion pets. They can be playful, loving and will get used to being handled and run to you. |
